*The same rules apply to all temples, including those in nature.

Ground rules and the rules of etiquette in the temples where ìyá Jasmina Audič – Awódìran Gbénga organizes events (i.e. the Ẹgbẹ́ Òrìṣà temple at 20a Bizeljska vas, the Ìṣẹ̀ṣè temple in Kranj, Planina 23, and all other rented premises or natural temples).

GROUND RULES

The ground rules facilitate efficient organization of events inside the temple, regardless of whether we are talking about an ọ̀sẹ́, a festival, or a sàra.
Perhaps some of you might feel limited in light of your previous habits, but this is simply unavoidable. The coexistence of a large number of people in a limited physical space calls for the implementation of certain rules. The adherence to rules and agreements contributes to the well-being of everyone. However, we must be aware that the temple is a space where different energies are being accumulated, and these energies may spark certain processes or trigger certain reactions in people. Therefore, we kindly ask you to prepare in advance and try to come to the gathering as best prepared as possible, so that you will process the everyday stress and problems with the help of the energies, not in interpersonal communication that may lead to misunderstandings.

Ifá says: “If you want to resolve a problem, tackle it on your own; if you do not want to overcome it, share it with other people.”

Rules for attendees:
Please arrive on time so that the organizers will be able to enjoy the event as well.
Please clean the toilets after use (including in nature). Throw toilet paper and sanitary napkins into the trash bin.
Smoking is NOT allowed.
Please maintain orderliness in the temple throughout the duration of the event. Clean after yourself and collect waste separately. Throw organic waste into a designated bin and fold the plastic waste as you go along. In this way, you will do a great service to those tasked with taking out the trash. They already put in a lot of work to organize the event, and when you will already be on your way home, they will still be cleaning.

Sàra is a ritual that is supposed to be performed collectively, just like any other ritual that takes place at a gathering. Sàra is an expression of spiritual generosity. Not everyone is a master chef, but we should all do our best. There is a wide variety of food to choose from, and even people following special dietary regimens can always find something for themselves. If all else fails, fruit is always available. But if your medical diet is very specific, bring something with you so that you will be able to participate in the ritual.

Be tolerant, polite, and considerate – always, but particularly when you are in a consecrated place. Leave personal affinity in front of the temple door. Inside the temple, we must remain neutral and be equally respectful and kind to everybody. What we utter inside the temple carries an even greater Àṣẹ, so be mindful of your words.

This is the only way to ensure that everyone will feel welcome and accepted and that everyone will be happy to return.
